Yep – My wonderful hosts Laurence and Olivier took me to see how the pigeons are prepared for a race. It was really interesting. Michel, the President of the Aiglon Club, was so welcoming and I was honoured to be told so much about the pigeons and the process of racing. And of course what should I find but some ceramics.
And another tribute to the Unknown Soldiers from the Sheaffe Family.
Our Soldiers know we are all thinking of them xxx
This was a very special cross put on the grave on an unknown soldier.
It is for the family of Albert Paton who died in the Battle of Fromelle 20 July 1916. For Marion who wrote such beautiful words on the cross – I am sure the words will echo in heaven that we are remembering Albert today.
Known Unto God
Today I had some special visitors from Australia. Heather (who I grew up with in Queensland) and her husband Greg. It was wonderful to see them. We made some special ceramic crosses and wrote on some wooden crosses which we placed on the graves of some Australian Soldiers. We remembered Vicki Lyn who is now in the arms of the angels.
A trip to Pheasant Wood Museum was followed cake and coffee at the local pub at Fromelles. And as quickly as they arrived they were gone to resume their travels.
Safe onward journey my friends. See you back in Australia.
love you

This is the beautiful Capucine who I had the pleasure of meeting with her amazing parents. We had a wonderful chat in Auber’s and I hope to catch up with them soon and maybe make some baby imprints in clay.
